Opening the 6th Mobile School in Tien Giang
(Vietpeace) The Tien Giang Union of Friendship Organizations and the Darius Foundation (Switzerland) jointly held a ribbon - cutting ceremony of opening Mobile School (MS) in Long Binh Dien Secondary School, Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province on September 20th.
This is the 6th MS out of 20 MSs that Darius Foundation committed funding for provinces in the Mekong Delta region till 2017.
MS is a mobile container, in which 30 Dell laptops were installed “Intel Easy Steps” software, for the aim of providing pupils with basic knowledge of informatics. The 6th MS will come to 10 secondary schools in Tien Giang province.
Also at the ceremony, Darius Fund has granted 20 scholarships (20 bikes) to poor pupils in Tien Giang.
Darius Foundation is a Swiss non-governmental organization, operating in Vietnam from 2003, funding microeconomic projects, granting scholarships, building kindergartens and organizing workshops on information technology for children and youth.
Floating school, a highly appreciated initiative of Radius Fund, will expectedly open in the Mekong Delta region. This is a school model suitable for the natural condition of the southwest provinces of Vietnam.
