DIVA honored for its contribution education and healthcare in Viet Nam

During 5 years of operation in Viet Nam, the Daejin International Volunteer Association (DIVA) has contributed to providing scholarships, improving educational facilities, building houses, and assisting the poor. They also provide free medical examinations and Korean language classes.

Recognizing the organization's contributions, the President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son awarded VUFO's Certificate of Merit to DIVA on December 28, in Hanoi. Phan Anh Son also presented medals for peace and friendship between peoples to Yun Eunho, Chairman of DIVA, and Yun Eundo, Chairman of Daesoonjinrihoe Welfare Foundation. This is the highest award of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to recognize the important contributions of individuals to peace, solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the people of Viet Nam and the people of other countries.

Chairman of DIVA Yun Eunho expressed his honor to receive the certificate of merit and medal. He looks forward to continuing to receive the companionship and support of VUFO in upcoming activities.

During its operation in Viet Nam, DIVA has implemented meaningful activities in Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Bac Giang provinces such as supporting school construction, awarding scholarships, donating filtered water systems for schools, building houses and toilets for poor households, and sponsoring medical equipment. In 2018, DIVA funded the construction of Binh Yen Secondary School (Binh Yen commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province) with a total cost of about USD 355,000 USD (over VND 8.1 billion). The school was inaugurated on May 13, 2019, with a 2-story building with 10 classrooms, a principal house, and other buildings.
