As part of the “Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Month in Europe,” the organizers called on women, women’s organizations, and the Vietnamese community across European countries to support the event through creative and practical activities to promote and spread the values of the Ao Dai. Such activities include fashion shows, presentations, seminars on the Ao Dai, themed gatherings, and even gifting Ao Dai to influential figures in host countries.

Dr. Phan Bich Thien - President of the Vietnamese Women’s Forum in Europe, President of the Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe, and Standing Member of the Viet Nam Ao Dai Culture Association, said the program aims to spread the message that the Ao Dai is not only Viet Nam’s “national dress” but also a cultural ambassador, embodying the fusion of tradition and modernity, East and West.
Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands, said that the Ao Dai Cultural Month would also encourage young people of Vietnamese origin born and raised in Europe to take an interest in, learn about, and cherish the Ao Dai as a bond to their roots. When the Ao Dai flows gracefully under European skies, it represents not only the beauty of a traditional dress but also the breath of the homeland - the soul of Vietnamese culture shining far from home.
Hoang Thuy Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Women’s Forum in Europe, expressed her belief that the campaign would provide an opportunity for women and the Vietnamese community across Europe to join hands in promoting the cultural values of the Vietnamese Ao Dai to international friends in general and within the overseas Vietnamese community in particular - fostering integration while preserving the enduring identity of the Ao Dai.
