The Laos Ambassador bids farewell to Chairman of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association

On September 19th, at the National Assembly headquarters, Mr. Tran Van Tuy, Chairman of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association hosted a reception for Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam, who came to say goodbye at the end of his tenure in Vietnam.

The meeting saw the attendance of Major General Huynh Dac Huong, former Political Commissar,  the Head of the Vietnam’s liaison board of the former volunteer troops and specialist in Laos; The Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and some leaders of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association and Liaison Board of the former Vietnamese volunteer troops and specialist in Laos.

Mr. Tran Van Tuy, Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, congratulated Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane for a very successful working tenure in Vietnam. He expressed his thanks to the Lao Ambassador supporting the activities of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association over the past time.

Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association hopes that the Ambassador will continue to participate in friendship and cooperation activities with Vietnam.

On behalf of Vietnamese veterans and experts who were in Laos, Mr. Huynh Dac Huong emphasized that Vietnam - Laos relationship is the valuable property of the two peoples. He hoped that the young generation will continue to maintain and strengthen this relationship.

Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane thanked Chairman Tran Van Tuy and expressed his pleasure when the relation between the two countries has developed to a new level during his tenure.
