Mr. Pham Manh Con, Vice Chairman cum Secretary General of VBFA reviewed VBFA’s activities in the past term and presented the operational orientations for the next term.
In the 2008 - 2013 term, VBFA made great efforts in its operations and successfully organised many activities to strengthen the friendship and cooperation relations between the people of Vietnam and Belgium.
The Congress has elected a new 45-member Executive Board; and Mr.Pham Manh Hung was elected VBFA Chairman for the 2013-2018 term.
Addresing the event, Mrs Nguyen Thi Hoang Van praised VBFA’s achievements over the past term and their contributions to promoting
friendship and cooperation ties between the two peoples. She suggested that VBFA would focus on consolidation of the existing partnerships, development of new partnerships and friends, combination of friendship exchanges and promotion relations in the fields of economics, trade, investment, environment, science & technology-education & training, culture, tourism...
On behalf of VUFO, Mrs Van presented Certificates of Merits to VBFA and 05 individuals in recognition of their significant contributions to people-to-people diplomacy.
The 3rd National Congress of VPFA for the 2013-2018 tenure was sucessfully organized.
