Trumpeter Anna Koch - a professional Austrian musician, specializing in contemporary music composition and improvisation, said that the Clarinet is a famous wind instrument in classical, military, and jazz bands. A clarinet is usually made of dark wood with metal keys. Along with the Accordion and Two-Band Guitar, the Clarinet was included in Austrian folk bands, associated with traditional, popular melodies.

According to Dr. Hans-Peter Glanzer, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam, the event, named "May Melody", commemorates the month of European Day (May 9) - when the historic Truman Declaration was released, marked the beginning of European integration and cooperation for peace and unity. The Ambassador hopes the program will be an opportunity to introduce and promote Austrian folk music in Vietnam through Clarinet melodies.

Tran Tuan Anh, President of the Viet Nam - Austria Friendship Association, said that the program is an opportunity for the people of the two countries to enjoy beautiful melodies together. Thereby, the event promotes cultural exchange and friendship between Austria and Vietnam, and between Vietnam and countries in the European community.

He said the Viet Nam - Austria Friendship Association would coordinate closely with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria to Viet Nam and related agencies and units to organize more events to introduce and strengthen mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
