On May 2 in Thailand, the Center for Vietnamese Studies under Rajabhat Udon Thani University and the Thailand-Viet Nam Friendship Association held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement on Vietnamese language training.

Sanan Angubolkul stated that this cooperation is one of the key tasks in the Association’s development strategy and an essential part of its mission. The goal is to enhance the potential of Thai human resources by equipping them with basic language skills to access the Vietnamese labor market. He expressed confidence that, with the close cooperation between the two sides, the objectives set forth would be achieved.

At the event, Assistant Professor Dr. Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun, President of Rajabhat Udon Thani University, affirmed that this cooperation program serves as a driving force for the Center for Vietnamese Studies to implement additional practical initiatives. These efforts will contribute to strengthening friendships between the university, governmental agencies, and businesses in both Thailand and Viet Nam.

On this occasion, the Thailand-Viet Nam Friendship Association announced the award of three scholarships, each worth 50,000 baht, to Thai students who wish to participate in a short-term Vietnamese language course at the Center. Upon completing the course, participants will be sent to Viet Nam to continue their Vietnamese language studies for one month.

The Center for Vietnamese Studies under Rajabhat Udon Thani University is an academic institution dedicated to training and advancing knowledge about Viet Nam in the fields of politics, economics, society, history, and culture. The Center serves as a resource hub providing data and information about Viet Nam to Thai government agencies, private sector organizations, and the academic community, thereby promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between Thailand and Viet Nam across various sectors.
