Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, bilateral cooperation between Viet Nam and Uzbekistan has developed strongly in many fields, based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. Uzbekistan has sent many high-ranking delegations to visit Viet Nam to enhance exchanges and promote cooperation on the people-to-people diplomacy channel.
The two friendship associations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, thereby implementing many meaningful activities, such as organizing exchange events on the occasion of major holidays of the two countries; acting as a bridge to promote cooperation between businesses; organizing photo exhibitions and writing competitions to learn about the country, people and culture of Uzbekistan.
Cu hopes that, within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement, in the coming time, the two friendship associations will coordinate to implement more activities and projects, contributing to further strengthening the traditional friendship between the two nations.
