The event was jointly held by the provincial women's development support fund and the provincial women's union

This is one of the two projects of Viet nam, and one of the 55 awarded in the call for local initiatives in 2023 in 26 French-speaking countries by the "La Francophonie avec elle” fund for women after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) – funded project, which is implemented from April 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, is expected to benefit 1,500 people, including 1,200 women and female students in Lam Thuy and Kim Thuy communes of Le Thuy district.

The project aims to implement solutions to improve access to vocational training, and empower women and ethnic minority girls, including integrating gender equality throughout all activities.

The project’s activities are expected to encourage ethnic minority women to apply their knowledge to daily work, thus generating income, improving the daily life, and raising their status.

At the workshop, a cooperation agreement was signed between the project’s management board and the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, three vocational training establishments, and authorities of the two communes./.
