At the meeting, Joe Tan said that SVIV is an association that connects small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam and Singapore, supporting businesses in exploring each other's market, and aiming to build business projects with sustainable impact on society in the two countries.

In 2022, SVIV brought a Singapore business delegation to visit and work with Vietnamese partners in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. These activities have contributed to strengthening understanding and cooperation between the two sides. SVIV hopes to receive support from the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association connecting with Vietnamese partners, as well as organizing Singapore business delegations to Vietnam.

Nguyen Duc Hung, Vice Chairman - General Secretary of the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association appreciated SVIV's activities in recent times. VSFA's Vice Chairman stressed that the Association is willing to act as a bridge to support SVIV in working with localities, seeking cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Singaporean SMEs, thereby contributing to promoting friendly relations between the two countries.
