Rosa Luxemburg was born on March 5, 1871 in Zamosc (Poland). Rosa Luxemburg worked in social movements protesting injustice and war. She is the embodiment of independent thought, the will to fight tenaciously, and the steadfast spirit of legitimate freedom and social equality. Together with Karl Liebknecht, Rosa Luxemburg fought uncompromisingly against war, supported international ideology, and opposed militarization in Germany. Her economic analysis describes the root causes that led to World War I. She was murdered in Berlin on January 15, 1919.

The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation is one of six political foundations in Germany to build progressive political elements, sponsor political education activities, and improve the natural and social environment.

In Vietnam, the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation has supported many research projects and practical activities in localities to create economic transformation, develop livelihoods, and encourage people to participate in policy dialogue, creating an ecological environment for sustainable development.
