Principle and Objectives:

- The Viet Nam - Belgium Friendship Association (VietBel) is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities in the field of people-to-people relations with Belgium and organizing effective activities.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese and Belgian people; to leverage the sympathy and support of the Belgian people for the cause of national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop the bilateral cooperation on economics - trade, science - technology, education - training, culture, sports and tourism between Viet Nam and Belgium for the benefit of the people of both countries, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Main activities:

- Organizing annual activities to commemorate important events of both countries  and the establishment day of Viet Nam – Belgium Diplomatic Relations.

- Organizing delegations to visit and work with partners in Belgium; coordinating program, activities for the Belgian partners and delegations visiting Viet Nam.

- Organizing people-to-people activities including cultural exchanges, exhibitions, round-table talks, friendship meetings, conferences, forums, etc. to enhance mutual understanding, to connect and foster effective cooperation between the peoples of Viet Nam and Belgium in economics, culture, arts, education, scientific research, etc.

- Leveraging the participation of Belgian people and organizations in activities and projects to improve livelihoods, provide educational assistance to students with disabilities or in difficult circumstances and to implement humanitarian programs for the victims of Agent Orange in Viet Nam.
