Principles and objectives:

- Viet Nam - Spain Friendship Association is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities on people-to-people external relations with Spain, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members and organizing effective Viet Nam - Spain people-to-people exchange activities.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand traditional solidarity, friendly cooperative relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and Spain; to leverage sympathy and support of the Spanish people for the cause of national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop the bilateral cooperation on economics - trade, science - technology, education - training, culture, sports, tourism, etc. between Viet Nam and Spain for the benefit of the peoples of both countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, contributing to the socio-economic development.

Main activities:

- Organizing annual activities to commemorate major holidays and important events of Viet Nam - Spain relations: Establishment Day of Diplomatic Relations (May 23rd), Western National Day Spain (October 12th).

- Coordinating delegation exchanges between Viet Nam and Spain.

- Supporting Party’s foreign affairs and State’s diplomacy to promote friendship, solidarity, and collaboration between Viet Nam and Spain.

- Organizing external communication activities to introduce Viet Nam to Spanish friends, partners, and young generation with a view to foster mutual understanding between the two nations and  peoples.

- Promoting cooperation in economics, trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism between organizations, businesses, and universities of Spain and Viet Nam.
