Principle and Objectives:

- Viet Nam - UK Friendship Association (VUFA) is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities on people-to-people relations with the UK, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members, mutually supporting one another for efficient operations, which contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand traditional solidarity, friendly cooperative relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and the UK; to leverage sympathy and support of the British people for the cause of national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop multifaceted cooperation between the peoples of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development.

Main activities:

- Organizing annual activities to commemorate major holidays and important events of Viet Nam - UK relations: Establishment Day of Diplomatic Relations (September 11th), National Days of the UK (June 11th), National Day of Viet Nam (September 2nd).

- Coordinating delegation exchanges between Viet Nam and the UK.

- Supporting Party’s foreign affairs and State’s diplomacy to promote friendship, solidarity, and collaboration between Viet Nam and the UK.

- Organizing external communication activities to introduce Viet Nam to friends, partners, and young generation of the UK with a view to fosteri mutual understanding between the two nations and  peoples.

- Promoting cooperation in economics, trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism between the organizations, businesses, and universities of the UK and Vietnamese partners.
