Principles and Objectives:
The Viet Nam - USA Society is a social organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities in the field of people-to-people external relations with the United States, established voluntarily.
The purpose of the Society’s activities is to gather, unite, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of its members; to contribute to enhancing mutual understanding, expanding friendly relations and cooperation between the people of Viet Nam and those of the United States; to leverage the support of the American people for the course of economic and social development, national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; for the benefit of the people of both countries, for peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

Activities:
- Establishing and developing a network of friends and partners in the United States, including the Vietnamese community in the US.
- Organizing activities for friendship and cultural exchanges between the people of the two countries; organizing and facilitating business visits, study tours and other kinds of trips to Viet Nam for the American people and to the US for the Vietnamese people.
- Conducting research activities, proposing solutions and policies regarding Viet Nam - US relations.
- Undertaking initiatives aimed at contributing to resolving existing issues and obstacles in Viet Nam - US relations.
- Organizing activities to promote cooperation in economics, trade, investment, tourism, culture, education, healthcare, and sports between Viet Nam and the US.
- Strengthening, developing and enhancing the capacity of the organization: Developing and disseminating promotional materials for the Viet Nam - USA Society; building and promoting the image of the Viet Nam - USA Society domestically and internationally; mobilizing sponsorship and conducting fundraising activities in compliance with legal regulations to support the Viet Nam - USA Society's activities.
