Principle and objectives:

- Viet Nam - Uzbekistan Friendship Association (VUFA) is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities on people-to-people relations with Uzbekistan, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members, mutually supporting one another for efficient operations, which contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand the traditional solidarity, friendly cooperative relations and t mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and Uzbekistan; to leverage sympathy and support of the Uzbek people for the cause of national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop multifaceted cooperative relations between Viet Nam and Uzbekistan for the benefit of the people of both countries, for peace, harmony, cooperation and development.

Main activities:

- Organizing annual activities to commemorate major holidays and important events of Viet Nam - Uzbekistan relations.

- Coordinating delegation exchanges between Viet Nam and Uzbekistan.

- Organizing events to exchange information on the situation of the two countries' relations in various fields, with a focus on promoting people-to-people exchanges between the Association and domestic and foreign partners.

- Promoting cooperation in economics, trade, culture, education, and tourism between organizations, businesses, and universities of Uzbekistan and Vietnamese partners.
