Principle and Objectives:

The Viet Nam - DPR Korea Friendship Association is a social organization composed of Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in and involved with people-to-people diplomacy activities with North Korea. It was voluntarily established with the aim of bringing together and uniting its members, protecting their legitimate rights and interests, and supporting one another to operate effectively. The Association contributes to strengthening and expanding traditional solidarity and friendship, as well as mutual understanding between the people of Viet Nam and North Korea.

The Association also aims to consolidate and develop friendly relations and cooperation in areas such as economics, trade, science and technology, education and training, culture, sports, and tourism between Viet Nam and North Korea. This cooperation benefits the peoples of both countries and promotes peace, cooperation, and development, contributing to the socio-economic development of each country.

Main activities:

- Organizing traditional activities such as rallies, friendly meetings, film screenings, photo exhibitions, and sending congratulatory messages to celebrate major North Korean holidays.

- Sending and welcoming delegations from both Associations for friendly visits to exchange information and share operational experiences.

- Promoting the economic, social, and cultural achievements of both Viet Nam and North Korea among the people and members of the Association; exchanging books, newspapers, and magazines from both countries.

- Organizing activities for the Viet Nam - North Korea Friendship Club, fostering and developing mutual goodwill toward the North Korean people.

- Organizing donations and campaigns to support the North Korean people in times of hardship.
