Principle and Objectives:

The Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association is a social organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations who are interested in or involved in people-to-people diplomacy activities with Japan. It is voluntarily established with the aim of gathering and uniting its members and effectively organizing Viet Nam - Japan people-to-people diplomatic activities.

The purpose of the Association is to contribute to strengthening and expanding the traditional friendship, solidarity, and mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and Japan; consolidating and developing friendly relations and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, education and training, culture, sports, and tourism between Viet Nam and Japan for the benefit of the peoples of both countries, for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Main activities:

- Organizing commemorative meetings on the occasion of major holidays in Viet Nam and other countries.

- Facilitating the exchange of information, documents, books, and newspapers between the Association and both domestic and international partners.

- Arranging delegations for visits and working trips abroad, as well as art troupes to perform in Japan.

- Organizing and welcoming delegations from partner organizations; arranging thematic tour groups.

- Collaborating with partners to organize discussions and seminars on political, cultural, economic, scientific, and educational topics.

- Acting as a bridge to promote cultural and economic exchanges between Japanese organizations and companies and the Association's members, as well as Vietnamese organizations and businesses.

- Encouraging Japanese partners to participate in charity and humanitarian activities in Viet Nam, such as building hospitals and schools, and supporting efforts to mitigate the consequences of war and natural disasters.
