Principle and Objectives:
- The Viet Nam - India Friendship Association is a social organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations that have an interest in or are involved in people-to-people diplomatic activities with India. The Association brings together members and organizes effective people-to-people diplomacy activities between Viet Nam and India.
- The purpose of the Association is to contribute to enhancing mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and India; to consolidate and develop the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world; and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the nation.

Main activities:
- Organizing commemorative events on the occasion of major holidays in Viet Nam and India.
- Facilitating the exchange of information, documents, books, and newspapers between the Association and domestic and Indian partners.
- Organizing delegations to visit and work in other countries, and arrange art troupes to perform in India (the Viet Nam-India People’s Friendship Festival).
- Hosting delegations of partners and organize thematic tour groups.
- Organizing and coordinating discussions and seminars with partners on political, cultural, economic, scientific, and educational topics.
- Acting as a bridge to promote cultural and economic exchanges between Indian organizations and companies and members of the Association, as well as Vietnamese organizations and businesses.
