Cooperation between localities and in the field of cinema, heritage conservation, and culture are also expanded.

“The strong affection between the people of the two countries is deeply rooted in our shared history, culture and heritage such as Buddhism and the ancient links of the Cham. The cooperation of academic institutions and policy think tanks of both sides can be further expanded through student exchanges, seminars and joint research in areas of mutual interest”, said Ambassador Sandeep Arya.

Besides art events, in 2023, the Indian Embassy will promote the Cultural Exchange Program for the period of 2022-2025, which was signed by both sides in December 2022. Accordingly, Vietnam and India will continue the project to preserve My Son heritage of Quang Nam province, grant scholarships for Vietnamese students and graduate students in Indian culture majors such as dance, theater, language, cuisine, etc.

“The cooperation in film, media and television will not only expand the connections between the people of the two countries, but also promote the tourism industry and encourage people to travel more. Other listed fields with great potential include inter-provincial relations, youth exchanges, yoga and traditional medicine such as ayurveda (traditional Hindu medicine system),” said the Ambassador.

In 2023, the Indian Embassy to Vietnam will continue to implement 10 Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) to bring practical and rapid benefits to Vietnamese communities including projects in education infrastructure, irrigation, water supply and social protection.
