After the signing ceremony, ACCI President Sohaini Shahadan expressed hope that based on the recently signed MoU, ACCI and the Friendship Association will accompany in trade connection events. The Friendship Association is likely to organize the ASEAN Export Trade Conference and Exhibition ahead of 2025.

Tran Thi Chang, chairwoman of the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association, said that her association will make every effort to promote Vietnamese products in Malaysia while accompanying Vietnamese businesses who are looking for opportunities to bring goods to the host nation.

The MoU signing was organized within the framework of the announcement ceremony of the Malaysia-ASEAN International Trade Expo 2024 (MASTEX 2024), scheduled to take place from January 23-26, 2024 at MITEC.

MASTEX 2024 aims to promote trade and investment between Malaysia and ASEAN member countries.

MASTEX 2024 will be an important platform for ASEAN businesses to promote trade relationships.

The event is an opportunity for experts, businessmen, and government representatives to connect, cooperate as well as explore paths for mutual development, and strengthen economic prosperity under the common roof of ASEAN.

The Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association (MVFA) was established on March 8, 2022, and now has 200 members. The Association represents the Vietnamese community in Malaysia and connects the community with the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia.
