At the meeting, Phan Anh Son introduced the guests to the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), the People's Aid Coordination Committee (PACCOM - a unit under VUFO), and the Committee for Foreign Non-governmental Organisation Affairs (COMINGO) and the results of activities of foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam, including 26 Australian organizations.

According to Phan Anh Son, Vietnam, and Australian NGOs can strengthen cooperation in dealing with war legacy and supporting Agen Orange victims.

Nguyen Ngoc Hung, General Secretary of the Vietnam - Australia Friendship Association, said the two countries had great potential for cooperation in digital transformation, smart agriculture, community health, and family doctors.

Glenn Keys, Chairman of the Australia-ASEAN Council said the Council was established by the Australian Government in 2015 to promote cooperation between Australian economic, educational, scientific, creative, and artistic institutions and their partners in Southeast Asia.

The Council provides funds for the Australia-ASEAN Emerging Leaders Program and the Australia-ASEAN Muslim Exchange Program. Several Vietnamese representatives have been selected to join the Australia-ASEAN Emerging Leaders Program since its establishment in 2016, such as Dang Thi Huong (founder of HopeBox), and Doan Thanh Tung (business director of Hai Dang).
