The Federation of Vietnamese Associations in Germany has raised more than 4.17 billion VND (nearly 159,000 USD) to support victims affected by floods in Viet Nam.

The information was unveiled at a meeting in Berlin on November 10, hosted by the Executive Board of the Federation of Vietnamese Associations in Germany to review two fundraising campaigns.

Nguyen Quang Anh, vice president of the federation and head of the fundraising board, reported that the campaigns, launched on October 5, raised over 4.17 billion VND (nearly 159,000 USD) from the Vietnamese Embassy, Vietnamese associations in Germany, businesses, and individuals.

The first sum of over 3.75 billion VND was handed over on October 24 to the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee to provide relief aid for victims of Typhoons Bualoi and Matmo, while the second sum of 420 million VND will be transferred in the coming days.

Anh expressed gratitude for the community’s contributions, emphasising the campaigns strengthened solidarity and connections between Vietnamese abroad and their homeland.

* The “Double the Love – 2025” fundraising campaign, jointly organised by the Vietnamese–Australian Scholars and Experts Association (VASEA) and the Australasia Social Impact Foundation (ASIF Foundation), has officially concluded with a total of 74,065.68 AUD (nearly 49,000 USD) raised to support communities affected by recent storms and floods in Vietnam.

The charity, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), launched the campaign after Vietnam was struck by two severe typhoons, Bualoi and Matmo, in late September 2025, causing widespread damage across northern and central provinces.

Inspired by their love for the homeland, VASEA and ASIF adopted the message “From Heart to Heart” as the symbol of the campaign. For every dollar raised by VASEA from the community, ASIF Foundation matched it dollar-for-dollar AUD, doubling the impact and spreading kindness among Vietnamese in Australia and international friends.

All donations raised by ASIF and VASEA were transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front through the Consulate General of Vietnam in Australia and publicly reported to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
