Saxophonist Kenny G promotes Hanoi tourism

Turtle Tower, The Huc Bridge, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and Temple of Literature are among the famous historical and cultural sites of Hanoi featured in a music video (MV) with the participation of the legendary saxophonist Kenny G.

On April 19, US saxophonist Kenny G shared the ‘Going Home’ music video on his Facebook page, recently released by Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and the IB Group Vietnam to promote Vietnam’s tourism.

Just a few hours after release, Kenny G's official Facebook Fanpage shared part of the MV.

The post has attracted much attention and interest from the public. As of 3 AM on April 20, the post had attracted more than 3,000 interactions, over 200 comments, 13,000 views and hundreds of shares.

The MV ‘Going Home’ was filmed during Kenny G’s performance in Hanoi in November 2023, which was co-organised by Nhan Dan (People) newspaper and IB Group Vietnam.

In a card sent to the audience, Kenny G wrote: “Hanoi is an incredible city with so many wonderful people! Thank you for your warm welcome. Love, Kenny G.”

The track ‘Going Home’ is part of Kenny G’s album ‘Kenny G Live,’ produced in 1989. It has been piped daily into radio speakers, supermarkets, train stations, and schools in many Asian cities over the past 30 years.
