Viet Nam Day: Belarusians Learn About Vietnamese History And Culture

On April 15, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus coordinated with the Association of International Friendship and Cultural Exchange of Belarus and the Belarus - Viet Nam Friendship Association to organize Viet Nam Day in Minsk.

According to Ambassador Nguyen Van Ngu, the series of events is an opportunity for Belarusians to learn more about Vietnamese history, traditions, and culture, and share experiences in business cooperation with Vietnam through diplomatic activities and discussions between the Embassy and representatives of Belarusian government agencies and organizations.

The event is an opportunity for Belarusian friends to learn more about Vietnamese history, traditions, and culture.

At the opening ceremony, Nina Ivanova, President of the Belarus - Viet Nam Friendship Association, emphasized the important meaning of April 30 for the Vietnamese people, who have fought for independence and freedom for decades, drawing guests' attention to the Vietnamese cultural diversity.

Member of the Belarusian Writers' Association, poetess Irina Tulupova gave her speech to talk about the characteristics of Vietnamese literature and the translation of works of Vietnamese writers and poets into Belarusians.

The unique cultural program of Vietnamese community members and international students in Minsk as well as the students of Glebov Children's Art and Music School No. 10 impressed Belarusian guests, especially the performances imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity such as hat dancing, ao dai performance, and bamboo dancing.
