During the meeting at VUFO’s headquarters, Mr. Cuong welcomed the delegation’s visit to Vietnam and made a brief introduction about VUFO’s organizational structure, statutes, main tasks and member organizations.
He said that cultural exchange is one of the best ways to promote solidarity and friendship among the peoples over the world and strengthen understandings among nations.
The visit of the delegation offered a good chance for the Vietnamese people to understand more about Cuban people and culture, and vice versa , he added.
For her part, Ms. Tellez expressed sincere thanks to the warm reception by the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association.
The visit is aimed at making a documentary film entitled “The Eyes of Santiago”, which features Vietnam - Cuba friendship, and the image of Ho Chi Minh in the eyes of the Cubans, she said.
Ms Tellez also hoped that both countries will make greater efforts to foster bilateral friendship and cooperations in all fields./
