A working session between the VFP delegation and the Quang Tri People's Committee on October 23.

The statement was made by Chuck Searcy, President of VFP, Charter 160, Cofounder and advisor to Project RENEW, at the working session with Vo Van Hung, Chairman of Quang Tri People's Committee on October 23.

The delegation appreciated Quang Tri's people in dealing with the war legacies and striving for achievement in socio-economic development and improving people's lives.

While visiting Quang Tri, the delegation understood the challenges that Quang Tri faces in dealing with war legacies, therefore coming up with practical and effective solutions to support the province. Chuck Searcy said he hoped both sides can work closely together to address the issue.

For his part, Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the Quang Tri People's Committee spoke highly of VFP's operation in Quang Tri, especially in solving war consequences, supporting victims of Agent Orange, and developing the society and economy. He suggested that VPF continue to support the province in the clearance of unexploded bombs and mines and increase the livelihood and medical support for victims affected by mines and toxic chemicals.

He believes that people-to-people relations activities will contribute to promoting Vietnam - United States relations.
